A simpler place to stay connected.

After building my life in the United States for nearly 24 years, I made the difficult decision to return home to Colombia and begin a new chapter.

Since 2002, I created a life filled with dreams, challenges, achievements, and meaningful relationships. I raised my family, developed my career, and built my business, The Body Barber by Sandra.

My life changed deeply after my best friend was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for approximately one month. That experience created an overwhelming sense of fear, stress, and uncertainty for my minor daughter and me.

Although I have lawful immigration status, I no longer felt safe. I became afraid to leave my home and deeply concerned about being detained, harmed, or separated from my daughter. As a minor with no one else in the United States to care for her, her safety and emotional well-being had to come first.

Returning to Colombia meant leaving behind the home, career, business, and life I had built since 2002. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made—but it was also a decision rooted in love, courage, and hope.

Through Sandra57Dream, I will share the honest journey of starting over: the challenges, lessons, beautiful moments, and dreams that come with building a new life in Colombia.

This is not the end of my story. It is the beginning of a new one.
